25 Hours in Frog Town

This weekend was the 25 hours in Frog Hollow Race. Which means good times with friends, some bike riding, sleeping in a tent and running up the shutter count on my camera. All well worth it.

I've been fortunate enough to be in a great community of friends that all share the same interest in spending their time outdoors in this beautiful fall weather we have here in the desert. Every year around this time is the 25 hours in Frog Hollow race.

I've helped with the event photography the last couple years and it's a great way to get some solid trial and error in and experiment with what works and have plenty of victims to shoot. Lots of redo's and plenty of opportunity's. If all goes well i get a new chance every 20 or 30 seconds. Except for the occasional 5 minute break it is a solid parade of riders.

My fellow Mooseknucklers were out and about representing and had a 5 person team that would at least finish a few laps. Then party.

I've been upgrading gear lately and just picked up a very heavy and completely awesome 70-200 L IS USM. This is one amazing piece of equipment. I fell in love and didn't want to put it down. I ran around prior to the race starting and tried to pic up the vibe of the event.

Its going to be a long day. Might as well get started early.

Even Gumby was there in full attire.

Dirt, pebbles, tire tracks and of course moon dust.

Trail is pretty smooth and not to technical. Here is one of the more technical parts.
